Mirrored Media is excited to partner with Fullscreen, Inc on the @Summerbreak Launch Party around VidCon.  SummerBreak follows a group of LA kinds living out loud on the beaches of Southern California for their final summer together.  The party will launch the second season of the show with a new cast and some familiar faces featuring a DJ set by The M Machine.

The family welcomes Monica Vergel de Dios

The Mirrored Media family gets a bit bigger this week with the addition of our Director of Brand Partnerships, Monica Vergel de Dios.  

Monica Vergel de Dios has an extensive background working in digital media, along with strategic partnerships and music event marketing. Monica most recently worked in partnerships and integrated marketing at SpinMedia where she managed integral accounts like Levi’s, Red Bull, Sonos, and more; ideating, pitching, and producing custom 360 programs. There, she also facilitated many outside vendor relationships, including Sofar Sounds the intimate in-home concert series, bringing them their first-ever brand partnership. Monica created and lead the “Bands and Brands” panel at the San Diego Music Things Conference in 2013. Monica previously worked at OMD as a Digital Media Strategist on Levi’s, Dockers, and a number of the Hilton accounts, including Embassy Suites where she strategized their first-ever SXSW music event integration.

This week’s issue of ADWEEK Magazine featured a profile piece on Mirrored Media and our CEO Justin Lefkovitch.    The portrait piece, within the special music issue, highlighted Mirrored Media’s ability to help clients easily navigate through the world of bands, brands, and fans.

Emma Bazilian writes, “In marketing, the relationship among brands, bands and fans can be tricky. Brands want to appropriate artists’ “cool” factor, artists want exposure, and fans want authenticity. That’s where Mirrored Media comes in. The experiential music marketing firm links brands (or their agencies) with up-and-coming acts to create interactive campaigns that seem organic, not contrived. Take last year’s campaign for the Acura ILX. To enhance the brand’s image among millennials, Mirrored partnered Acura with indie band Metric on a series of sponsored concerts, a listening party and even a music video. In turn, Metric introduced its new album, Synthetica, to a wider audience. “In every one of our campaigns, the brand has walked away with explosive results, whether that be market penetration, social media exposure, or changing the perception of the brand among the target demographic,” said CEO and founder Justin Lefkovitch.”

Mirrored Media at SXSW ’14

Mirrored Media was in Austin last week at this years SXSW music convention with partners Crave Online, Hype Music, Sound Hound, Swing House and Brick + Mortar.  Mirrored Media partnered with two featured showcases on Wed and Thursday at Rusty’s in Austin.

The Crave Online show packed the house at Rusty’s in downtown Austin featuring Semi Precious WeaponsMiniature TigersMellow Hype and more, with appearances by Odd Future and Lady Gaga.  Sound Hound stepped in to help make it all possible and give fans expedited entry to the madness.
