Serious shenanigans went down at October’s TuneCore Live in Brooklyn, in the best way possible. We could not have asked for better bands to represent the local music scene over there!
If you haven’t heard of Fever High, Crazy and the Brains, or Beecher’s Fault yet, take note: these indie bands are explosive, wild, and simply genuine. You can’t fake the dedication and realness in music, but these three acts completely wowed the crowd with how much they love getting to perform their music.
Another successful month of indie musicians empowering each other to connect and take control of their careers! Thanks TuneCore and Swisher Sweets for letting us put together another crazy awesome TuneCore Live. Witness the fun for yourself with some pictures below!
The best part about TuneCore Live is TuneCore and Swisher Sweets’ commitment to bringing artists across all genres to the stages. This month at the Bardot, we witnessed some pretty sublime performances from indie musicians Roses and Revolution (who traveled all the way from upstate New York for this show!), Jesse Thomas, and Terra Naomi.
The three acts were unlike any other we’ve brought to the Bardot. Roses and Revolution made us laugh with their down-to-earth and approachable personalities, Jesse Thomas blew us away with her energy tightly packed like a firecracker, and Terra Naomi reminded us of how nice it is to come to such an intimate show after a crazy day in Hollywood.
Check out some pictures from the evening, and we hope you’ll hang with us at next month’s TuneCore Live! As the year ends, we have more reasons to celebrate. A full year of TuneCore Live LA is amazing!
On Wednesday, TuneCore drew hundreds of New Yorkers to its very first Brooklyn edition of TuneCore Live at the Living Room. We are excited to have witnessed the inaugural monthly showcase for ourselves, as we once again joined TuneCore as producers of the party.
The inaugural event will be remembered for the incredible performances by 18th & Addison, BRAEVES, and PigPen Theatre Co., with Broad City’s very own music supervisor, Matt FX, amplifying the room in between sets.
Attendees began pouring into the Living Room upon open, admiring the city view from the venue’s rooftop patio, making new friends, and exploring the Swisher Sweets table, who are once again proud sponsors of TuneCore Live: Brooklyn.
We are excited by the turnout and the free spirit of New Yorkers, curious about music and the community of artists that inhabit Brooklyn. Though our home office is in Los Angeles, we hope to be back as frequently as possible to catch the excitement of Brooklyn’s TuneCore Live again.
Until then, we hope New York has a blast at next month’s TuneCore Live!
TuneCore Live’s July party at the Bardot was truly one of the best ones yet. We had an amazing turnout and hope that people left the Bardot with a few new favorite songs to add to their summer playlists.
Doors swung open to a flood of partygoers and curious music fans who roamed the venue to grab drinks, make friends, and warm up to DJ Biggie Smiles’ set.
Soon afterwards, MADYX took the stage, commanding all attention with her incredible chops and fierce attitude. MADYX wowed the crowd on her guitar, while also surprising them with her own rock rendition of Nick Jonas’ silky “Chains.” MADYX deserves major props for bringing such an explosive, dynamic voice into the pop rock world.
We were lucky to snag indie rock band Air Bag One for TuneCore Live, as they are currently on tour before they head back to their hometown in France. The guys performed a set of lush, infectious songs that slowly began to pull the crowd closer to the stage. By the middle of their set, their magnetic appeal had everyone dancing.
Anima! delivered one of the most eclectic sets we’ve ever seen, bringing out a set of lanterns that lit up to the beat. At this point of the night, the venue was packed and vivacious, with fans standing up on booths and chairs to sing and clap along. The evening ended on a very high note, as Anima! proved themselves as a brilliantly crafty band.
In between bands’ sets and afterwards, our favorite DJ William Lifestyle continued to propel the party forward into the late hours.
We hope that everyone had a blast at July’s TuneCore Live! Swisher Sweets, Swing House, and Celebuzz continue to be amazing with their outpouring support of the event! Onwards and upwards: we are picking up the momentum for August’s TuneCore Live. Come celebrate with us next month!
At TuneCore Live, the party never stops. We have just announced the lineup for July’s TuneCore Live! Performing at the Bardot in Hollywood on July 29th, MADYX, Air Bag One, and ANIMA! will keep us dancing through the night. Each artist and band has an infectious sound full of synths and swagger. It will be a sight to behold.
We’re so psyched to announce that The New Regime, FMLYBND and Drop City Yacht Club will be performing live at the next TuneCore Live show at Bardot-Hollywood on May 26. Last month was amazing, and with the help of our awesome sponsors – Swisher Sweets, TuneCore, SwingHouse, DropKloud and Celebuzz – we’re expecting another packed house.
If you haven’t been to one of our shows yet, come down, let us know what you’re up to, ask us questions, and share some fun – our west coast team will be in attendance and ready to kick it.
