Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires Takes Over Hollywood Boulevard

On July 8, 2025, Disney+ premiered Zombies 4 with a takeover of Hollywood Boulevard and the iconic El Capitan Theatre and Roosevelt Hotel. The event marked the return of beloved characters from the original trilogy while introducing audiences to two new factions, the Daywalkers and Vampires, through a custom-built environment designed to reflect the evolving storyline.

Guests entered through a glowing forest-scape featuring the film’s signature VW bug, which serves as the vehicle that brings the original characters into their summer camp adventures. Orange and blue LED-lit trees hinted at the new elemental powers in the film as the carpet journey continued into a custom-built step-and-repeat anchored by a dimensional, edge-lit “Z.” This sculptural element broke from traditional red carpet step and repeats, while visually connecting the legacy cast to the emerging heroes. Further down the carpet, an edge lit half-moon and sun framed the press interview zone anchored by a dimensional title treatment, symbolizing the two new factions and their distinct powers.

As guests entered the El Capitan Theatre, they grabbed branded popcorn and drinks, as well as branded light-up wristbands which revealed each guest’s faction, either Daywalker or Vampire. Two photo opps within the theatre gave guests the opportunity to step inside the key art for the ultimate photo, and see the real costumes from the movie on display. Inside the threatre, two dueling DJs, each representing the Daywalkers or Vampires, ignited the crowd as each monster faction cheered for their side as their light up wristbands danced with light. Remarks from Ayo Davis, President of Disney Branded Television, welcomed the El Capitan signature Crystal Curtain Light Show, which had been reanimated with Zombies 4 customizations, causing a giant cheer from the crowd prior to the world premiere of the movie.

When guests left the theater, they made their way to the iconic Roosevelt Hollywood hotel, where they were greeted by the VW bug which we moved from the carpet, and a Camp Rayburn themed after party pulled straight from the movie. The iconic pool was covered with a plexiglass cover and Zombie branding creating a glowing dance floor surrounded by pennant flags, boulders, film props, and faction-specific décor. A counselor’s cabin-inspired DJ booth sat beneath a massive illuminated “Z,” with laser lighting tying the whole space together.

Guests transformed into their favorite characters at custom makeover stations, played with slime at the Sloomoo Institute activation, got a sneak peak at the Zombie 4 costumes, and posed at the 360 photo booth nestled within camp-inspired surroundings. Every detail was thought through including stained glass-inspired doors that echoed the design of the film’s cabin setting. Guests left with a Zombies 4 gift bag including exclusive products from Ella+Mila and Sloomoo Institute.

The entire production, from carpet to screening to party, was installed in one overnight load-in and delivered a fully immersive celebration of Disney’s latest chapter in the Zombies franchise.

The premiere event was the culmination of an extremely successful Zombies 4 campaign with a multifaceted rollout.
